We hosted one of our busiest meetings of the year on May 4th.

Omar Passons, candidate for 4th District County Supervisor, visited the club to provide us with his background and reasons for seeking the office.  Mr. Passons was born in San Diego and has a Master’s Degree in Public Health and practices land use law.   We thank Mr. Passons for his time and his insights.

We also  got to hear from our 2018 Rotarian Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) recipients from Point Loma High School on their experiences at RYLA.  Pictured, along with Youth Programs Advisor Jim are Ella Peter, Princess Labrador, Katie Rzepcznski, and Michelle Avina.  Great to hear all the exciting things that they experienced.

John Martinez of the Cabrillo National Monument Foundation, shown with Prez Frank,  came by to accept our donation and provide a brief summary of what's new at the monument.

Finally, the Rise of Hephaestus Robotics Team came by to accept our donation and give a demonstration on their award winning robot.  Pictured are Coaches J.D. Morrison and Matt Nilsen and team member Hailey Scott, along with Prez Frank.
