Our speaker on Jan. 5th was Dr. Carolyn Coker Ross, a board certified Addiction Medicine specialist and Suboxone doctor who specializes in opioid addiction treatment and drug addiction treatment. She presented an excellent overview of the current crisis, explaining in terms even we could understand how the crisis manifested, why it is much more complex than "why don't they just stop," detailing the complexities of additions and offering suggestions on the way forward.
