Principal Jaffe
Dedicated in 1925 as Point Loma Junior-Senior High, the school served grades 7 - 12, with 386 students when it opened on September 8, 1925. Point Loma High School is the third oldest high school in the San Diego Unified School District and carries a tradition of pride and excellence. Pete Ross was the first Principal, with a staff that included 30 teachers. The first graduating class consisted of seven students - three boys and four girls - who celebrated their commencement in Balboa Park.
