On Friday the 19th we had the pleasure of welcoming Sheri Painter, co-owner with her husband of Birds Eye Aerial Drones. Sheri gave us a wonderful presentation, titled "Drones in the SoCal Economy," breaking down the current options in drone technologies, how they are being utilized in the Southern California area, government regulations that are applicable to owning and operating drones (for example, not within 5 miles of an airport), and the most popular applications that they are used for - real estate marketing being one of the most frequent. The presentation included a great Show & Tell, lots of facts, figures and beautiful imagery, along with a very engaging Q&A. Our club thoroughly enjoyed this presentation.
