Our program speaker on October 11th was Steven Cross, from the USS Midway Museum.  The most popular naval warship museum in the nation, USS MIDWAY (CV-41) served on active duty from 1945 until 1992, and participated in many operations that shaped America's future.  She has been a museum ship since 2004.  Mr. Cross provided some background on the operation of the museum and plans for future updates.  Pictured are Steve and Prez Karin.  We thank him for his insights and expertise.

We also had the pleasure of welcoming Kerri DeRosier, Chairwoman of the Point Loma Concert series (and PLRC member Dr. Dave's WAY better half), who presented the club a plaque for our continued support of this wonderful music and community event.  And not least, we inducted new member Jennifer Iannitti (who is PLRC member Nick's WAY better half - see the pattern?) to the club.  Jen has been an active supporter of husband Nick during his time in the club and it's great that we can officially welcome her as a new Rotarian.  Pictured, left to right in the pictures, are Kerri De and Prez Karin; then Prez Karin, Jennifer, Nick, and Membership Chair Gus.  Congratulations, Jennifer!
