We had a very special guest last week: singer and songwriter Jerry Burgan. Jerry was a member of We Five, and our members had the opportunity to listen to Jerry's uncanny storytelling about folk music from the early days. Jerry (on the right) is pictured with Prez Alex and Steve Thorn (Dick's brother), who provided additional context. We thank Jerry and Steve for their time and wonderful stories.
We also welcomed Ally Welborn from the San Diego River Foundation. The Foundation is a sponsor of our Ride The Point charity bicycle ride, providing volunteers and resources at one of our most important rest areas along the route, in Mission Valley. Ally is joined by Joel Kalmonson , the Foundation's Volunteer of the Year.
