On Friday, October 4th, we welcomed Lauren Welch of the San Diego Urban Corps. The San Diego Chapter, established in 1989, is a certified local conservation corps and charter school whose mission is to provide young adults with the tools to expand their career opportunities through education, life skills training, and paid work experience on projects that benefit our communities. Lauren provided club members with a compelling saga of success in re-establishing with at-risk youth with education opportunities and methods to re-integrate with new job skills. Lauren is pictured with Prez Karin. We thank her for her time and expertise.
