Our virtual meeting last week featured Diane Kutlow and several members from Hands of Peace.  Founded in the Chicago suburbs, this non-profit was started by members of the Christian, Jewish and Muslim communities and expanded in size, strength, and scope ever since, including the addition of our San Diego Program in 2014.  Diane provided a very inspirational presentation on the program that empowers young Israelis, Palestinians and Americans to raise their voices as leaders of change.  We also heard from Maeve Hushman, one of the next generation committed to seeking this much needed change and how, even in a global pandemic, she and others are seeking opportunities to be the change that is needed.  We thank Diane and Maeve for their time and their passion.

Also this week, we received the attached "Thank You" note from Eagle Scout Candidate Ben Folk from Troop 500, who presented to our club his Eagle Scout Project in June, rebuilding the viewing platform at the Point Loma Native Plant Garden.  Ben included a personal note and pictures on his successful project.
