Anti- Defamation League :The State of Hate and Extremism today

Oct 11, 2024

A new survey from The Anti-Defamation League found that antisemitic incidents in the United States have skyrocketed since the October 7 Hamas attacks on Israel. Preliminary data from the ADL shows a 200% increase, with more than 10,000 incidents reported, versus 3,325 the previous year. It's the highest number of incidents since the ADL began tracking the data in 1979.

Photography as Fine Art

Lee Sie

Nov 22, 2024

San Diego photographer Lee Sie will share photos and life experiences.  Our natural world has served as the palette  for art ever since Man picked up a rock and began drawing, writing, and sculpting. Nature is a part of us and the way an artist sees and conveys it says as much about the artist as it does the world. I’m grateful to be living in the 21st century when digital photography can help me express my artistic vision of our natural world.

Water Filters Save Zambian People and Wildlife

Alka Subramanian and Debra Gookin

Mar 07, 2025

Like most of Africa, Zambia suffers from a massive cholera epidemic. The Power of Love operates the Matero Center helping families achieve a healthy life through good hygiene, vaccinations, and medical care.  The Rotary Clubs of Nkwazi and Point Loma have teamed up with The Power of Love to provide safe drinking water - creating a foundation for good health for thousands of Zambians.

Zambian people who are healthy, physically and economically, support and benefit from wildlife sanctuaries.  The Rotary Club of Nkwazi coordinates training in sustainable farming, education and healthcare to benefit the word.
