Our speaker on Friday the 13th was CAPT (USN, ret) Charlie MacVean, long time Point Loma resident and former Commanding Officer of USS SEAWOLF (SSN 575) during the Cold War.  Charlie gave a timely presentation on women in the military, and the challenges they've faced integrating into what for many years was not a career choice many of them were open to make.  Women in our military today comprise over 14% of the total force, and represent a vital component.  We thank Charlie for his time and insights.

We also welcomed Ross and Liam from St Paul's Pace to receive our annual contribution to their great facility.  Pictured are Liam and Kira Gandolfi, our Community Programs Director, receiving the check.
