Our speaker on March 16th was Warren Branges, CDR, USN (ret), Commander of US Submarine Veterans Incorporated, San Diego. Warren gave us a great discussion on the World War II Submarine Memorials in Liberty Station - their origin and caretaking needs. As a community service project Point Loma Rotary has committed to assist Warren and the USSVI in maintaining this wonderful memorial to some of our bravest military veterans. Also pictured are members of the Point Loma Association "Mean Green Team" working on monuments and the landscaping. As PLRC is a Gold Sponsor of the PLA, this brings our support full circle.
