Scott joined the Sunrise Rotary Club of North Whidbey Island, on the Puget Sound in District 5050, in 2001 - but became a “Rotarian” on a wheelchair distribution trip to Mexico years later. A recipient of Rotary International’s “Service Above Self” Award, he’s a Major Donor and a member of both the Paul Harris Society and Rotary Foundation’s Bequest Society. He manages an investment office in Oak Harbor, Washington, where he’s also served as the Mayor – and has completed 21 marathons, the last in July. |

There's an ugly truth in our beautiful area - we're a hot spot for human trafficking. The Center for Justice & Reconciliation is a regional and national voice confronting the crisis. Dr. Jamie Gates will discuss the connection between gangs and sex trafficking in San Diego. He and Kim Berry-Jones will tell how Point Loma Nazarene University is engaging in solutions, with a scholarship for survivors and a prevention and awareness curriculum in local high schools. |

The Point Loma Rotary Club will present the 15th Annual Comedy Night at 8:00 pm on Friday March 10, 2017, at The United Portuguese S.E.S. Hall 2818 Avenida de Portugal to benefit local and international charitable service projects. The show will be hosted by Tony Calabrese, a native San Diegan and favorite at local comedy clubs, corporate events, and charity benefits. Tax deductible tickets are $25 and available by registering online, or at the door. |
